Beware of emeralds in the market that claim no treatment from substandard wannabe laboratories or retail companies. Most are bogus! Plus many overseas dealers treat emeralds with oil or other fillers AFTER they certed the stones, knowing that it is difficult to tell if the stone was really treated from a small picture.
